The Perfect Wedding Day Timeline
One of the most difficult aspects of planning any wedding is settling on the perfect timeline. Amber and Corbin opted for a later ceremony start, 5:30pm, and opted for their first time seeing each other to be as Amber and her father walked down the aisle. With that in mind, we discussed what their wedding day would look like with a few different timelines, and landed on one that they both loved. Amber and Corbin laid a huge priority on their portraits, and how they wanted their photos and film to look, which is the main reason why they hired Josie and I to capture every bit of their special day!
Getting Ready in the Bridal Suite with Stunning Views of the Seaport
With her siblings and her mother present, Amber opted to get ready in a waterfront Suite with a large balcony overlooking Boston’s Seaport. The balcony offered a great place to take photos outside, while still shaded and seculuded, but taking advantage of the hotel’s gorgeous waterfront views.
5:30pm Ceremony in the Wharf Room
With a ceremony set for a little later in the day, we captured Corbin and the Groomsmen getting ready closer to 4:30 pm, while also setting up time to capture Corbin with his family, and Amber with hers. The ceremony took place in the Wharf Room, and concluded just around 5:45 pm. We then took their families out to get quick photos oustide together while the room was turned over during cocktail hour.
Golden Hour Portraits
With photos and their film being a big priority for Amber and Corbin, we took them back up to the balcony for a private vow reading and some more portraits. Walking around the outside of the hotel, we found a few more places for photos and then landed in front of the large, iconic arch of the Boston Harbor Hotel that housed the American flag, a location Corbin noted as being a favorite of his at the hotel.
Reception Fun!
Following their portraits, the reception kicked off as planned, with a grand entrance straight into a first dance with the sun setting through the large windows of the Wharf Room. Following the First Dance, siblings and parents gave quick toasts and a delicious dinner followed shortly thereafter.
