You're in the right place.
Hi, I'm Dawson!

Coffee Lover. Golf Addict. National Park Regular.
I didn’t buy my first camera to capture nights out with friends, major life events, or even because I thought this could be a career someday. It was much simpler than all that.
All I wanted was to capture life around me as it happened. Looking back through old photos that my parents had printed and in various shoeboxes, Walmart photo folders, and albums. Looking through all of these photos carried a nostalgia, but they all had one thing in common; they weren't taken on a cell phone. Now don't get me wrong, Josie and I love capturing photos and videos on our phones when they are available, but there is something intangible about the click of a shutter.
I decided to purchase my first camera of my own in my sophomore year of college, and quickly started working various projects for the school.
One day, an admissions counselor noticed I seemed to have more heart for photography and videography than the average student with Medical School on the mind, and she decided to take a huge shot on me (Shoutout to you, Chelsea!). She asked if I’d ever filmed a wedding before because she wanted me to film hers. After explaining that I had no experience filming weddings, but would give it a go if she wanted me to, I started to prepare for my first wedding.
Thank goodness for Youtube because there are at least a dozen photographers who will never know how much they helped a college sophomore totally nail his first wedding gig. After that, I was hooked.
Today, I’m a Maine wedding photographer who uses that blend to consistently deliver effortless, beautiful, fun wedding days—no matter if we’re in my hometown or in Greece! Whether you have a Pinterest board full of wedding ideas or just a pose you saw on Tiktok that you want to try, I’m down for anything! And through it all, Josie and I will be sure to capture every second! Speaking of Josie…

Meet Josie the Videographer!
Josie is my partner in both life and business! After seeing how much I loved photographing weddings, she decided to give her creative side a little freedom, too. Today, she’s my right-hand woman, capturing the sounds and movement of a wedding day. Through video, you can truly re-enter the moment as you lived it. You can hear the tone of voice when your husband says “I do” and the sound of your friends sing-shouting with you to Luke Combs on the dancefloor. You can see the way the sun glittered in your hair as you walked down the aisle and the waves crashing in the background of your seaside ceremony. These are things photography just can’t capture, and Josie fell in love with the way she can preserve them for our couples.
For more than eight years, Josie has filled my life with joy. I can’t wait for her to do the same for you on the best day of your life! And don’t mind us if we’re totally taking notes on how to incorporate your best wedding day ideas into ours…that’s just another part of what makes this life so fun for us! We can’t wait to meet you and preserve your love story.
